Another walk when we dodged the rain! The light on the Toetoe was beautiful though the photo doesn’t really show the purple tinge to the fronds. I love getting up high!
The North Island has been hit by torrential rain, flooding, winds, road closures…The landing last night into Hamilton was a bit lumpy and the rain poured all night but it was ridiculously warm and muggy.
But the Minions were undeterred and we headed to Raglan for some beach training.
We found a hole in the weather – 2 hours of sunshine.
Another day out on the trails. 25km to follow the 35km yesterday. This really is a beautiful area.
A day out on the trails with the Minions. Stunning scenery as always at Taupo. Only three weeks to go ’til Oxfam and this was our last big training session.
It’s a great cause if you’d like to donate…. https://www.oxfamtrailwalker.org.nz/otw17/teams/march-minion-miles
Oxfam trailwalk has snook up on us – only 4 weeks to go! Hill training today at Pukemokmoke…
I can see this month’s photos could get a little repetitive….
Oxfam training took me to the Taitua Arboretum today. Just a short blast but time to do a handstand in the bamboo tunnel.
There may be a few handstand pictures this month! I’ve walked past this trig many times but I think this is the first handstand here! Wonder what the Te Reo word for handstand is?
Another ‘recovery’ day and another beautiful ‘day in paradise’ and extra special because it’s a long weekend. Muscles are sore, toes are sore but hip not too sore! We decided to tackle the Silica Rapids before heading home via Taupo and a dip in the lake. More stunning scenery…say no more!
