Should be day 4 black and white but I forgot to do one as I was too busy and I’m late posting this blog. I wanted to post this in black and white but I realised it has people in it! I watched these kids scooting around Aotea Square and talking to each other through the horns. Not sure why they weren’t at school…
Day 2 hui. Started the day with a run up Mount Eden. I was actually too early for sunrise but the morning glow was stunning.
Busy day which started of with interviews for the leader of the Community of Learning. Two very strong candidates and impressive presentations. Hillcrest High had to be evacuated because of a bomb scare and eventually all kids were sent home while the bomb squad combed the building. Then we headed to Auckland with a car full to see Bill Bailey. I haven’t laughed so hard for a while – possibly since the last time we saw him! A very clever man. And he tweeted my photo of him on stage!!
Girls night out in Orewa to see Calendar Girls. Very well done and definitely worth the dash from Hamilton.
I love the Auckland skyline as you approach the bridge from the north. A bit hard to get from a moving car but Prisma makes a rubbish photo into an artwork!
No actual photos today apart from pictures of ovens… Ours has finally given up the ghost so most of today was spent touring whiteware showrooms comparing prices and features. Not the most exciting of shopping trips!
So I have played a bit with editing some photos using the portrait painter app. I quite like this one I took the other day on Mount Eden.
An intense but rewarding workshop day on the roadmap with a school today. Great conversations, digging deep into learning and leading. Had to finish off the day with some fresh air though (and a spot of Pokemon hunting!!)
A working afternoon in Auckland followed by a run up Mount Eden to see the sunset (and catch a few Pokemon!)
A day of sun and showers, dark clouds and rainbows.
2nd SMS day and Oxfam Awards evening. A little underwhelmed by our challenge award for 1st women’s team! Reminded ourselves that we didn’t do it for the reward but for a very good cause. Enjoyed an evening in Auckland – the Sky Tower is always photogenic.
I love getting up high and looking out. This morning I ran up Mount Eden and was rewarded with a spectacular view over Auckland. This was the 360 shot across the crater.
