The butterflies and bees are out in force right now and Hamilton Gardens with the colourful flowers is a great place to see them.

My boy playing his guitar. I love listening to him.

Boxing Day relaxation. Run around the lake this afternoon. Needed to move after all the food and drink yesterday. It was a bit moody down there today… threatening rain and swirling wind.

Christmas Day 2017.
It was strange not to have any children in the house on Christmas morning. The start of times to come, I suppose.
The boys arrived late morning for brunch. Waffles and fresh fruit with fresh coffee outside in the sunshine.
Board games followed which meant a late dinner. Managed to get the boys together for a family photo. They don’t change!

It was lovely to have Christmas Eve visitors today. A last minute change of plan saw Harry Hoggarth and Megan arrive yesterday afternoon for their last 24hrs of their stay in NZ.
Breakfast in the garden followed by a walk in to town for lunch, then a dash to Auckland airport.
Lovely to see Gus and Harry still friends after all these years.

Another run out on the river trails to support Paula training for the 100 miler. Boy it was hot and muggy! Marzipan Snowfig found time to get up to mischief….

What did I do today? Shopping, cleaning, wrapping presents, and found time for a coffee too. Nice to bump into friends while we were there and catch up. And Marzipan Snowfig got up to trouble too.

Started the day with a run around Pukemokemoke. Hot already at 9.30am.
Good to catch up with Dave for lunch then a wee cheeky beer at Craft.
A good clear out of my wardrobe resulted in two bags for the charity shop.

Last day of work today so started early so I could get away for a run at 5pm.
The sun was already hot at 7.30am and this blackbird certainly made itself heard! (Think there may have been a cat sitting on the fence!)
