Time for a wee dram to see November out.
Found this bumble bee today. Thought it was dead, then it moved. Not sure it was going to last much longer but I took it outside to its natural environment. It was fascinating watching it as it rose onto its hind legs and stuck its tongue out. (or is the technical term a proboscis?)
Found time this afternoon to plant out the veggie plants I bought yesterday. Hope they survive the wind! Loads of apples on the Apple tree.
Unsettled weather…sunny and bright to start but the wind brings heavy showers with it. They blow in quickly and violently and blow out again just the same.
This is the view from the end of Victoria Street as we sheltered..
A very productive day in the garden weeding, sweeping, pruning trees. Now ready for planting. The roses are looking pretty.
Manic work day today – admin catch up and then rush to get facilitator profile written. Fabulous Friday Fundraiser for Oxfam this evening so quickly made a batch of cheese straws before a handful of ladies arrived. Jazzy tights, Aloe Vera health products and Tupperware all for sale. Oh, and my cushions too. A pleasant and productive evening with a few glasses of beer!
The library in the school we worked in today had beautiful round windows which let so much light in. The sky was brilliant.
Things I am grateful for. ..
The sun came again today and strawberries are summer fruit so it must be summer!
Summer is here again today although it is quite windy! But the bees are out sampling the nectar.
