A beautiful day today and we were lucky enough to see the tail end of it as we walked back to the hotel from our hui. The moon rising in a fading blue sky over city buildings.

My first GAFE Summit. Quite excited. ‘Twas an interesting day, lots of old friends, some new learning, plenty of conversations.

On my way to the Google Summit… Long drive due to an accident which entailed a 17km tailback and wet conditions. I’ve been past this junction countless times but never seen this lizard… A red light and being second in the queue probably made it more visible… Just love the way it’s peeping from behind the column.

An evening out with my big son to see The Wailers at the
Powerstation in Auckland. All the old classics. Started slow but the energy came the more they played. Awesome solo of Redemption Song.

An evening jaunt to Auckland to see the ever irreverently funny John Cleese and Eric Idle. No photos allowed during the performance since cameras in theatres are only slightly less annoying than people who ‘fart in your general direction’. So, apart from a photo of the stage set before they started, this very sneaky photo during the encore, is the only one I have. Of course, they ended by looking on the bright side of life.
