Impressed that Gus is sticking with learning to play the guitar. He sounds quite tuneful…! Self-taught through watching YouTube tutorials and using the ancient books I had as a teenager.

A wild, wet, windy, sunny, rainbow day in the Waikato. Typical winter, four seasons in one day sort of day. Perfect for spring cleaning and watching (or playing) two games of hockey. This is from the second game. Gus had already scored twice in his first game and of course, we missed what appears to have been the goal of the season… Solo dribble past three players, one on one with goalie and.. Boom!..in the net! No goals in this game but a solid performance from the boy!

No actual photos today apart from pictures of ovens… Ours has finally given up the ghost so most of today was spent touring whiteware showrooms comparing prices and features. Not the most exciting of shopping trips!
So I have played a bit with editing some photos using the portrait painter app. I quite like this one I took the other day on Mount Eden.

People watching. We were talking in the pub this evening about the difference between taking a technically good photograph and being able to ‘see’ the feeling of a photograph. I love taking photos that pose a question, that prompt people to ponder. I think this one does that.

But our cats seem to be experiencing some sort of rapprochement… or entente cordiale…

An intense but rewarding workshop day on the roadmap with a school today. Great conversations, digging deep into learning and leading. Had to finish off the day with some fresh air though (and a spot of Pokemon hunting!!)

A working afternoon in Auckland followed by a run up Mount Eden to see the sunset (and catch a few Pokemon!)
