Trying to catch up on my 100 Day Project…I haven’t posted this one yet from Napier the other day. These pou are beautiful but difficult to photograph against the bright sky so I’ve played with editing.
Post workshop walk along the beach to debrief. Great to get some fresh air and love this structure. Looks like there is some cool stuff going on in Napier.
Educampthetron was today. It was great to share a day of learning and practice with colleagues in the Waikato. Later on we went into town. The new sculpture is now unveiled. Not sure entirely what I think of it. Quite impressive, definitely stands out. I have a feeling that it could become an iconic symbol of the Tron.
A little bit of a cheat today as I didn’t take any photos. However, the new sculpture in Hamilton was in the news and since I took a photo of it at the weekend I thought it worth sharing.
Apparently ‘The waterfall of the sculpture represents the tongue of the dog, described in a Maori legend about the creation of the Waikato River.’
My photo doesn’t show the waterfall as it was taken before it was unveiled. Will have to go and take another this weekend.
