Got the photos in the garden today. Starting to look more like a garden and less like a jungle. Excited to see the blossom on the Feijoa tree.

We finally got round to planting the Black Boy Peach that Terry gave us last year. Nigel spent a hard day in the garden preparing ground and generally tidying things up.

Sunday rituals….trailrun then gardening. I love watching these yellow roses as they bud bright yellow and gently fade.
Day 87 March 27th 2016
Easter Sunday. The summer keeps on giving. No big walking this weekend so time to catch up in the garden. Lots of clearing to do and finally getting round to painting the fence. Disturbed lots of crickets and Praying Mantis as I cleared the weeds. They fascinate me with their tiny heads and big eyes and beautiful patterns on their wings and the way they sort of hover with front legs in the air.
I wonder why some are a sort of browny pink when usually they’re green. Wonder if it’s because they’ve been hidden in the undergrowth or are they a different type altogether?
