I was privileged to attend my first Pasifika awards evening in my capacity as BOT member. What a fun filled celebration! I loved the passion, emotion and enjoyment of everyone’s achievements. Such a breath of fresh air! My favourite moment was catching this young man looking after a wee brother or cousin. He was one of a group at a table who took it in turns to hold him. Heartening to see how ‘normal’ it seemed to be for them.

It was the annual Hoptobierfest at Craft Hamilton and Little George today. After a morning in the garden we headed down for a few beers, the Oompah Band and then stayed to see the ABs getting beaten by the Wallabies. Rare thing! Long day! Loved these wee ones dancing to the band. (Band members kids and permission obtained to publish!)
