Day 2 black and white. I made it out for a run in Hamilton Gardens this evening. Had to wait until it got cooler though.

Back on the black and white photos as u have been challenged again! This dragonfly landed on its back next to my computer and obligingly lay still. Happily it flew away once I helped it flip back over.

Got the photos in the garden today. Starting to look more like a garden and less like a jungle. Excited to see the blossom on the Feijoa tree.

A day in the garden…too hot to run and no inclination to go alone! Got lots done, but didn’t take any photos! Will do that tomorrow…
Just got this one of the teenagers playing games. After this they for the board games out. Exams over so all nighters of a different kind!

The Union Jack atop the old Bank of New Zealand building is looking a bit the worse for wear. Much like the country it represents.

It seems unseasonably warm but I’m not complaining. This evening saw us marching briskly up Kakepuku (and back down, of course). We must be getting fitter because it felt like we were going steadily but it was actually or 2nd fastest time!

We finally got round to planting the Black Boy Peach that Terry gave us last year. Nigel spent a hard day in the garden preparing ground and generally tidying things up.

I persuaded Gus to cone with me to a lecture about the Balfour Declaration this evening…surprising that he agreed! Interesting lecture and took this photo of the spring flowers, evening light and the lake on the way back. Prisms helped bring out the colours!

Sunday rituals….trailrun then gardening. I love watching these yellow roses as they bud bright yellow and gently fade.
