Hogmanay. Last day of 2017. I know my numbers are messed up..maybe sometime in 2018 I’ll go through and work out where I went wrong! Stole a couple of hours out of preparing for holidays and this evening and headed out to Pukemokemoke. Very happy that I managed to run up, down and round twice in less than an hour! AND I saw this beautiful tui. Not sure yet if I am going to continue with a photoaday … I have another project which is a weekly photo challenge. I might just mix it up a bit!
A mad dash from Ulearn to the airport. Off to Nelson then Marahau for the Abel Tasman Classic. Time for a wee walk to suss out the start and finish line. Always good to be with a friend!
Last day of the month… Good day for a double Kakepuku. Only two weeks until Abel Tasman now. It was a beautiful morning to be out and no apologies for yet another dubious photo of a Tui in a tree!!
Back out on the trails today. Felt like shit, arrived to find I had two left shoes, forgot to set my watch going but managed to grind out 23km so pretty stoked. Even managed a sneaky dip in the secret hot pool!
Had a good day out on the trails. 26km and felt pretty good. Enjoyed a chilly dip in the lake after…
A stunning autumn day. Clear blue sky and perfect for a trail run that climbed 1000m then descended with some pretty technical stuff in the middle. River crossings, clambering up on all fours up steep slopes and slippy rocks made for a great course at the Cranleigh Kauri Run. Pleased with 3hrs 23mins. The views were amazing!
