Finished the day off with a walk up and run down Kakepuku, then a run round Ngaroto. Bloody hard work…the lack of activity over the last few weeks was noticed!
Little minxy elf got in on the act.

It seems unseasonably warm but I’m not complaining. This evening saw us marching briskly up Kakepuku (and back down, of course). We must be getting fitter because it felt like we were going steadily but it was actually or 2nd fastest time!
Last day of the month… Good day for a double Kakepuku. Only two weeks until Abel Tasman now. It was a beautiful morning to be out and no apologies for yet another dubious photo of a Tui in a tree!!
21km up, down and round Kakepuku. Last 5km were pretty brutal on my hip and it was maybe not the best plan after a gal on Friday… But, hey, we do these things! The view was better than last time.
After a day stuck indoors at the computer it was good to get outside for some fresh air. Just a wee bit damp up Kakepuku this afternoon….and the views weren’t quite up to the normal standard. But maybe keeping our heads down and focusing on not sliding was what got us to the top a couple of minutes faster than I’ve done it before!
Good to get out on the hills again this evening to make the most of the last of the light evenings. Clocks go back tomorrow. A steady recovery walk up Kakepuku. I forgot to take my phone so missed out on the stunning views from atop Kakepuku. Managed to snap a sunny shot from a moving car on the way home (I wasn’t driving!) so made it look better using Prisma.
