It was a tense match and went into drop offs after a full time nil all draw. Aonghas scored after a minute and a half but it was disallowed. But the boys held on, regained possession then a pass from Aonghas to Will who pushed it into the goal! A 1 – 0 win for fifth place. A great way for Aonghas, Will and Jared to finish their Hillcrest hockey careers. The rest of the team made a guard of honour as they left the turf.

First hockey game of the season for Hillcrest 1st XI. They made it closer than they should have but came through on top. A 2-1 win in the end. This is the half time team talk.
