I persuaded Gus to cone with me to a lecture about the Balfour Declaration this evening…surprising that he agreed! Interesting lecture and took this photo of the spring flowers, evening light and the lake on the way back. Prisms helped bring out the colours!
A long day at the computer planning for ULearn and doing my PTC stuff. So it was good to escape for a walk to the arboretum. The sky looked threatening but we managed 8km before a few drops started to fall. By then we were back at the car! Beautiful light.
Winter has arrived and so has the Waikato fog. It finally cleared away by midday and crept its way back in by 5.oopm. A short blue sky and sunshine window! Think this photo gets the pick today – evening sun sinking into the mist over Lake Rotoroa.
So I went for a walk around the bays today. Well a bit of the way round and then over the top. To meet a friend and it turned out to be two friends! We had a lovely evening catching up and nearly, very nearly getting caught up in the pub quiz! After the first rainy day in months, Wellington turned on a pretty spectacular sunset.
A beautiful day today and we were lucky enough to see the tail end of it as we walked back to the hotel from our hui. The moon rising in a fading blue sky over city buildings.

Counting down the days now… Today’s 10km walk/run will be pretty much the last one before Saturday and the 100km. Maybe a couple of 5s just to keep the legs ticking over, but that is it! It was a beautiful evening and the Waikato river never fails to look stunning. Love the walkway through the bush, peaceful with just the call of the cicadas and the birds.
