Don’t you just love 2nd hand shops? Fascinating what people will buy. One man’s junk is definitely another man’s treasure. But the commentary and insights into social history is what intrigues me. Just take this front cover of People magazine from 1959.

The truth about Rock Hudson was still to come out. The tragedy is that he had to hide who he was.

14A day of learning in Te Reo. It was good to be able to devote a whole day to immersing myself in developing my understanding… I didn’t quite get to the point of clarity from confusion!  A little cheat here because this photo was taken yesterday in the Gallipoli exhibition. Did order really come out of the confusion? Have we learned to accept difference, build relationships and celebrate each other’s qualities?   It’s hard to be believe given today’s political landscape.
