Today we took part in the inaugural Waitomo Trail Run. Nigel and Aonghas did the 11km adventure and I did the 22km adventure.
It was a beautiful day and it was indeed an adventure. Hills, river crossing, caves, and stunning limestone scenery. For more photos see our Flickr page.

Graduation 🎓 Day
I really need to write a longer post about this incredibly uplifting experience. I went to support Nigel receive his Post Graduate Certificate in Education (specialism Leadership in HE) thinking I’d be out if the office for an hour or so…. How wrong could one be?! (explanation coming later!)
Back to work after a lovely, relaxing weekend. Went out to bring in the washing and spotted these beautiful daffodils. Must be confused about the season…gorgeous scent though.
Started the day listening to the Anzac ceremony on RadioNz, then coffee and churros with Las Chicas. In the afternoon a good walk up to the tallest Kahikatea Tree in New Zealand on the Kaniwhaniwha Trails with Nigel and Gus. A great day all round.
Today Las Chicas got together again! Empanadas, paella, sangria and lots of fun! Una noche buenisima.

Home again and how good is my own bed!? A great night’s sleep, a good day’s work and a lovely evening out with Nigel. The moon has been beautiful this week and getting rounder! We watched as it rose high in the sky, silvery shiny in the inky darkness.
I love getting up high and looking out. This morning I ran up Mount Eden and was rewarded with a spectacular view over Auckland. This was the 360 shot across the crater.
